Description:

- The Spectra SL-128 AA is a highly compact and lightweight printhead module designed specifically for inkjet applications requiring multiple printheads in a tightly packed configuration.

- These modules are ideal for high speed, high performance printer carriage designs. Universal compatibility with a wide range of fluids makes the SL-128 AA extremely versatile.

- Two electrically independent piezoelectric discs, each with 64 addressable channels, are combined to provide a total of 128 nozzles. The nozzles are arranged in a single line with a 0.020 inch pitch between nozzles. Resolutions of up to 450 dpi are possible.

- This jetting assembly contains serial-to-parallel converters to select which jets to fire; all jets can be fired simultaneously or individually. Using an optional head interface board, image data can be chained into a serial stream to reduce data interface hardware requirements. A high voltage firing pulse with controlled slew rates is used to actuate the pumping chambers within each channel.

- The fluid interface and electrical connection are located at the top of the jetting assembly and several mounting configurations are possible. This arrangement allows for extremely tight packing in the direction of printing. The dual-ported fluid interface facilitates purging for quick changeovers and to replace drying fluids with inert fluids during periods of non-use.

- Optional temperature control components are available for precise control of fluid viscosity. Optional vent hardware is available.
